Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, training, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing. Success is not a destination, but the road that you’re on. For Janne Kaske, the road that he is on is the road to his first ever European Tour tournament. After claiming victory in the Hong Kong International Qualifying, he received a qualifying spot for the chance in the RMB 20 million Volvo China Open at Topwin Golf and Country Club, Beijing from April 27-30 – making it his first debute in the European Tour and the biggest tournament of his career.
“With this being my first time competing in a European Tour event, the difficulty level of the playing field is very competitive,” said Janne. “Lately I’ve been training myself physically and preparing myself mentally so that I could have a consistent outcome. I can comfortably say that I am now ready for the Volvo China Open coming up soon.”
The Finnish golfer who is usually based in Thailand, is brand ambassador to Thana City Golf & Sports Club, explains to us how of his daily training routine at his homeclub for the biggest tournament he’ll play.
“Typically my daily affairs would consist of about 5-6 hours of golf practice divided evenly between ball striking and short game. I usually finish my training days with about an hour and half at the gym where I do mainly strength training.”
“Performing to the best of my abilities is what I aim to do. Doing it while looking good, well that opportunity has been given to me by PG Performance Gear. They’ve been helping me to gear up with the latest styles and trends that go hand in hand with its technical functionality.”
Janne Kaske will join Mikko Korhonen and Mikko Ilonen, both who are the top Finnish golfers in the European Tour, in Beijing for the Volvo China Open.
