The formula for success is simple: practice and concentration then more practice and more concentration. There is no alternate to the hard work and success; we must practice on regular basis if we want to succeed. Only continuous practice can make us reach success through the perfection. Knowledge is a big thing but alone it cannot take us to our goals, we have to convert our knowledge into action which needs a regular practice.

We take a glimpse into Janne Kaske’s training session at Thana City and see what makes his perfect practice, perfect. But before we gain more insight towards his practice, we need to understand what kind of golfer Janne really is. If there is a need for one word to describe Janne’s intellectual and aesthetic abilities then that word is ‘perfectionist’. Every swing, stroke or putt is carefully analyzed and the amount of frequency that he puts into fine tuning it is unparalleled. It’s because of the fundamentals, drills and lots of repetition implemented that we see change and improvement. Overall, Janne is a very meticulous and technical golfer – consider him as a living, breathing, walking TrackMan!

When golfers practice, they typically follow normal routines on the putting green and driving range; to sink the ball in the hole or to bang it as far as possible. Everyone has the ability to play much better golf than ever dreamed possible. But if you want to become great or just a darn good, it will take more than practice. It will take hard work and a new understanding of what’s effective on the range, what isn’t and why. It will take something called perfect practice. When the pros or top players practice, they go into their session with a game plan. In Janne’s case, there is always a daily goal in mind and something to improve on. It may take a couple of days or heck, it might take a couple of weeks to perfect a certain stroke but no matter the circumstances, it will be perfected to perfection!

“Perfect or nothing!” he implies.

Aiming for the top is one thing but doing it with the backing of one of the biggest sponsoring company’s in Thai golf industry is something to be recognize with. History in the making, this year Janne Kaske is officially sponsored by Singha Corporation, one out of only a few foreign golfers in Thailand whom of which have received sponsorship. The relationship furthers as within Thana City there lies the Singha Elite Performance Center, the home training ground for all Singha sponsored players. Janne goes ahead to describe, “this place has shaped the art of equipping and training golfers to play better golf through improved awareness of swing cause and effects as a result of the actions by their body, the club, and their effect on the golf ball”.

As a golf traveler, when not competing or abroad, we can most certainly find Janne training at Thana City. “Location wise, there is nowhere else that provides the convenience that this place has given me. I live close by and I travel a lot. With the airport in such close proximity, I can be off the greens and on the plane in no time” says Janne. “The facilities are top-notched and it seems they are always trying to find a way to improve what is already great!”

The bottom line, practice enables a person to reach the heights of success in all walks of life. Practice develops outstanding qualities in one’s character. Practice not only brings perfection but also helps in building character. Thus, it is Janne’s perfect practice that brings him a step closer to perfection.
