“Having Janne join the Thana City team is something rather ideal for us” announced General Manager Mr. Chartchai Veerasinthop. “With the ongoing upgrades that we have going on, we’re also pushing to further develop Thana City with not only the golf aspect but as well as to initiate Janne with the sports club”.

The formula for success is simple: practice and concentration then more practice and more concentration. There is no alternate to the hard work and success; we must practice on regular basis if we want to succeed. Only continuous practice can make us reach success through the perfection. Knowledge is a big thing but alone it cannot take us to our goals, we have to convert our knowledge into action which needs a regular practice.

We take a glimpse into Janne Kaske’s training session at Thana City and see what makes his perfect practice, perfect. But before we gain more insight towards his practice, we need to understand what kind of golfer Janne really is. If there is a need for one word to describe Janne’s intellectual and aesthetic abilities then that word is ‘perfectionist’. Every swing, stroke or putt is carefully analyzed and the amount of frequency that he puts into fine tuning it is unparalleled. It’s because of the fundamentals, drills and lots of repetition implemented that we see change and improvement. Overall, Janne is a very meticulous and technical golfer – consider him as a living, breathing, walking TrackMan!

When golfers practice, they typically follow normal routines on the putting green and driving range; to sink the ball in the hole or to bang it as far as possible. Everyone has the ability to play much better golf than ever dreamed possible. But if you want to become great or just a darn good, it will take more than practice. It will take hard work and a new understanding of what’s effective on the range, what isn’t and why. It will take something called perfect practice. When the pros or top players practice, they go into their session with a game plan. In Janne’s case, there is always a daily goal in mind and something to improve on. It may take a couple of days or heck, it might take a couple of weeks to perfect a certain stroke but no matter the circumstances, it will be perfected to perfection!

“Perfect or nothing!” he implies.

The relationship furthers as within Thana City there lies the Singha Elite Performance Center, the home training ground for all Singha sponsored players. Janne goes ahead to describe, “this place has shaped the art of equipping and training golfers to play better golf through improved awareness of swing cause and effects as a result of the actions by their body, the club, and their effect on the golf ball”.

As a golf traveler, when not competing or abroad, we can most certainly find Janne training at Thana City. “Location wise, there is nowhere else that provides the convenience that this place has given me. I live close by and I travel a lot. With the airport in such close proximity, I can be off the greens and on the plane in no time” says Janne. “The facilities are top-notched and it seems they are always trying to find a way to improve what is already great!”

The bottom line, practice enables a person to reach the heights of success in all walks of life. Practice develops outstanding qualities in one’s character. Practice not only brings perfection but also helps in building character. Thus, it is Janne’s perfect practice that brings him a step closer to perfection.

Eat, Sleep, Golf, Repeat!

Professional golfers indeed do a lot of traveling, especially when competing in tournaments abroad throughout the whole year. With that in mind, we take a look into the life of Janne Kaske, and what it takes for a professional golfer to always be on top of his game, both mentally and physically.

Janne has put a lot of dedication and effort to be able to stand where he is today. Recently, Janne obtained his tour card and is eligible to play in the Asian Tour and China PGA for 2016. And from what we all know, playing on these tours means traveling to multiple countries throughout the globe – it takes a toll on your physical condition, biological clock, and personal pocket as well. Because of these unavoidable dilemmas, the need for a base for training and getting yourself in peak conditions before any tournament is all too real. This is why Janne has chosen Thailand to be his base country and Thana City Golf Club as well as Singha Elite Performance Centre to be his training grounds.

If you’re wondering why Janne has chosen this particular location then there is only one word to describe it and that is “convenience”. As a golf traveler, Janne explains that having convenience simplifies his life a whole lot and at Thana City that’s what he gets. With numerous outbound flights, he needs to be located in short distance to the airport and Thana City is only 10 minutes away (and just 25 minutes from downtown Bangkok).

Besides being in close proximity to the airport, Janne explains: “Everything that I need is here and I don’t have to travel far. I train and practice here, the range is great and they have all the facilities I need”.

With the ‘why’ answered, we dive into and ask Janne what opportunities this place has given him in aspects to his professional career. He explained that because golf is such an expensive sport, training at the Performance Centre has helped him financially as Singha All Tour players get a special price privilege to train there. He exemplifies that time constraint is a thing of the past as he can practice and play at Thana City one moment and the next be flying to another country for a tournament. All in all, he is spending less time traveling and more time practicing.
