Hua Hin’s Best Beaches on the Map

Hua Hin’s main beach seen from Khao Takiab Hill.

Hua Hin has basically four beaches. The most central one, the namesake Hua Hin Beach, starts right off the town’s main street, Damnoen Kasem, and continues five kilometers to the south. Closest to the city center the beach is lively and partly covered with sun umbrellas, but the farther you go, the quieter and more beautiful the beach becomes.

Eventually, around Hyatt Regency Hotel, the name of the beach changes to Takiab Beach. Here the beach is at its most beautiful, and many of Hua Hin’s most attractive hotels are located in the area.

At the southernmost edge of Takiab Beach is the Takiab Hill known for it’s big Buddha Statue and Chinese temple. On the other side of the hill is Khao Takiab Beach, also known as Nong Kae Beach. Here, there are hotels just to the north of the beach – for the rest, the beach is protected from construction.

There is also a nameless beach on the northern side of the town centre, although it is no match for beauty of the beaches on the southern side. This beach gets submerged under water at the low tide.
